Holiday insanity
I am so glad that I'm notone of those kinda of people that get super into the holiday's. Its just another dark, depressing time of year for me, with a pagan holiday that the christians stole and called their own cause they couldn't stop the pagans beliefs, so they incorporated them. The whole true meaning has gone commercial, its all about the $$$ and stimulating the economy.

Silly brother, don't you know the real true meaning of Christmas IS the presents? LOL.
ReplyDeleteTerry and I find ourselves wondering why we celebrate a "Christian" holiday seeing as how we are Atheists and don't believe that December 25th is the birth date of Jesus Christ. So we have decided, for our daughters' sake, to focus more on the story of St. Nicholas himself (Who died on Dec. 6th and is celebrated on that day.) and the traditions he brought to the holiday. The fact that we all hang stockings and wait for "Santa" to come fill them with gifts and goodies is thanks to St. Nicholas! =)
Silly Brother and Sister, don't you know that the real true meaning of Christmas is the FOOD? And it is celebrated from Thanksgiving through New Years!
